I’m always amused by this place. Quality like any other look black. Quite alright. But I always fail to get a table outside which looks very pretty. The top section ambience is very dull. Do not feel like spending any more than a few minutes.
I purchased the Cheeky Cherry product at this branch on the 20 Oct 2023. When i opened the sealed box today, i was surprised to find only 4 chocolates inside instead of the expected 6 (picture taken after eating a piece). You might want to work on improvement in your quality control processed.
My partner and I love to draw and stitch here, beautiful building with lots of history. Zara is very knowledgeable and Charlton is “legendary” in the words of my partner, always approachable and very attentive.
I’ve been here previously and had good experiences but to pay $10 for a hot chocolate which is ridiculous and for that hot chocolate to be made so poorly (extremely hot and watery and not even be filled to the top of the cup). Binned the entire thing after 3 sips. Not impressed by his attitude either. Safe to say I’ll stick to the other Koko Black shops.
Came here with a friend to try their limited edition cake for World Chocolate Day. It already came prepackaged in a box and bag, so it was handed to us although we were dining in. It would be more appropriate to serve on a plate for customers that are dining in.
Love their Belgian hot chocolate! Tasty and not too sweet. My friend preferred their coffee and mentioned it tasted better than the koko black store along Collins street.
Initially we wanted to dine upstairs in their ‘Chocolate Lounge’, however we felt it’s a bit dark and air circulation is better downstairs.
This shop is definitely worth coming in for a visit if you are a chocolate lover. Their chocolates are handmade and delicious!!
We've been visiting this delightful store, every time we go to the city, for quite a few years now. We love the ambience of the attic area. However, we have noticed , the last few times, that the quality of the Belgian hot chocolates has altered. The taste remains the same but the texture is much less creamy, sadly.
Great place to grab a coffee, wonderful staff. I really loved there seating on the first floor but half the area was closed this time. Still the service was great along with the ice coffee and orange pastry
After having no service at the town hall shop I walked down to the Royal Arcade
